We don't know the tears of a clown
By Tamyara Brown
We think we understand a person their pain, their hurt and struggles but really we don't know.
The days they put on a smile to run away from tears.
They pretend that their heart is healed when in truth it is broken in tiny pieces.
Sadness seeping through their pores only to those who look at that person to see strength.
Holding on because no one else has.
Holding in the pain because in truth that person believes they don't matter
Trying hard to be liked but more and more being dislike.
Being feared because your weird
Being afraid of yourself
They analyze and try to figure you out
They try to read your thoughts and remove masks.
What they don't know is the pain is layers deep.
What they don't know is the hurt is harder to shed and pull apart.
Some tears can't be wiped away or erase.
