Just five years ago I was down and out in the gutter.
I was losing on life and the critics would say it was over for the king.
Chasing pipe dreams and sucking on a glass stick
I thought for a moment I was licked and destined to nothing but the worst.
Who can believe a jail bid save my life?
I got out of the game of living less than God's potential
From sleeping on concrete to sleeping in satin sheets.
From eating in soup kitchens to five star restuarants
From welfare hotels to living in a penthouse.
From wearing dirty clothes to tailor made suits
I had to fall so I could be caught by the hand of God's angels.
I had to hit rock bottom so I could appreciate all God's blessings.
I had to lay down so I could look up and know who holds my hand.
Looking back I don't regret it at all.
I started from the bottom but now I am here
Living in a mansion, driving the best cars and giving back to those less fortunate.
None of my transformations would be if God didn't show me that I am.
