Spotlight of a Broken heart
I knew of her the girl crying tears awaiting Daddy to appear. Macaroni ashtray and a tie. Dress stained with a melted frosting on her dress. Her father was the first man to break her heart. Waiting fo his love set the tone for how she would forever see a man.
Just in her tweens her mother met a man who became her father figure. She thought for once she would could fill the void and have a father in this stranger. He gave her more attention than her mother. Buying pretty things and candy. He kiss her cheek and hugged more. She thought, "oh boy, I have a dad." His kisses moved from her cheeks to her lips. His hands on her hips and on a cold winter night her innocence was stolen. That day forward she never looked at a man the same. Her was shatter and confused on what love really means.
In her teens and adult hood she fell in love with the illusion but never fulfilling her reality of what love really is. If one wasn't cheating. It was the misunderstanding of a woman looking for love in all the wrong places. In the spotlight is the betrayal of her wounded heart.
She still looking for love but this time from within. She is looking for happiness but not from the characters she's met. Her story is many of ours but some are afraid to admit it. Our broken hearts are in the spotlight stay tuned.
