Beauty's Broken Wings
By Tamyara Brown
I use to soar and kiss the stars
I made friends with the moon
Now I've fallen off and all I am is a beauty with clip wings.
I hear the world call my name
I push to be about the fame
To me Im just a pawn in their game
I wish they would look into my eyes, listen to my voice and hear my cry. I need help.
Take away my clothes
Take away my make up and remove the weave
I'm just a beauty with broken wings
I'm just a shell without a soul.
Everyone is in control
I don't know where to go
I'm flying but I'm lost I don't know where is my home.
Traveling across the seas, tears rolling down my face. Praying the ocean will wisk away all the pain. Hoping the wind will wipe my face.
The fluffy clouds will take me where I belong.
Set me free give me back my power and fix this beauty's broken wings.
Give me courage to soar alone. Let the wind take me to my happy place. To a place where I belong and I can call it home.
