You need to know your target audience because if you think everyone will love your book then grab the Kleenex, and prepare to cry your eyes out like I did. Five things You Must Do Now

Why? You boost your name on top of Google Search Engine. You can attach your Blog, Book Trailers, Social Media Connections (Tip Alert. Connect only your Facebook Fan Page. Why? You want people to like your fanpage, 2. Reviews posted by your facebook friends will be deleted. You want your professional author's page to be all about your novel not your personal business.)
2.Create a GoodReads Author's Profile
Why? Readers love the site and your goal is to get someone to connect to your book. It Puts your name, book and profile on the top of Google SEO. Generate relationships with potentials readers. Gain reviews for your book. A potential hotspot for readers to post reviews about your book. Give a ways and groups connecting to you to potential readers, networking with fellow authors, and promoting your book.
3. Use Instagram
I sell more books on Instagram. I love Instagram and the key is great graphics related to your book. An opportunity to expand and connect your reach. Instagram is all visual but with creative ways you can connect to potential readers.
Why? You are an expert, you want to gain readers and life long buyers of your book. People love tips and tricks. They want to know your how to. So educate them and gain the sell of your books. So get to blogging please.
5. Email list
Authors establish a list use mail chimp and make folks sign up for your list. Why? If social media goes bye bye you're clientele is establish. So start a list whether it is with Mail Chimp, your website provider or Constant Contact you should have one.
